Owner

I graduated from McMaster University in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, then attended Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington where I graduated with a diploma in Massage Therapy in 2004.  I have been practicing Massage Therapy now for over 10 years.  I have completed courses in remedial exercise, hot stone therapy, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy, Indian head massage and deep tissue massage.  I am also fully trained in prenatal massage, as well as infant and child massage.  I have been practicing canine massage therapy for over 6 years and I have been working in conjunction with a Burlington Veterinarian on improving the quality of life for terminally ill and senior dogs. I am also a Reiki Master with certification through Circle of Light Healing Arts Academy in 2011 and 2018.  I have currently completed my certification as a Birth and Bereavement Doula (for pregnancy and infant loss) through StillBirthday University, 2014.  Through Christ Church in Flamborough, I have been honored to fulfill the role of the grief support worker through the parish and as an addition to my current list of services, to help those in need through the grieving process.
I am also a fully Certified Reflexologist through Soul Treatments Wellness Ltd. I am currently enrolled in the Death, Dying and Bereavement Certification studies at Wilfrid Laurier University.

As of August 2019, I embraced the role of Executive Director at Bereaved Families of Ontario South Central Region which is located on the Hamilton Mountain.
For more information about the programs and services at BFOSCR, please email me at ed@bfoscr.com or go to www.bfoscr.com.

I am continually taking courses to sharpen and deepen my skills and expand the services I offer. I have currently applied to Yorkville University to complete my Masters in Counselling Psychology.

My future goal is to become a registered psychotherapist specializing in the fields of grief and bereavement, PTSD and family counselling.

My husband and I have two energetic young daughters and a loving big dog.  I am constantly practicing natural and herbalistic approaches to combat many health concerns with my family and friends, whether it may be a common cold, pregnancy discomfort, infant teething, newborn colic, detoxification, immune system dysfunction, fatigue or general everyday well-being.

Through my passion for complimentary medicine and a holistic-spiritual approach, I have found a balance to the mind-body-soul connection.
Bring balance and control back into your life.
